Dagenham & Redbridge striker Brian Woodall will spend the next month on loan at the Conference North outfit.

Dagenham & Redbridge have let striker Brian Woodall go out on loan for a month to Conference North side Bishop’s Stortford.

The 25-year-old was the club’s leading goalscorer last season but has failed to cement a place in the first team this season, with only one league goal to his name, picked up in a 2-1 defeat at Morecambe.

Interim manager Wayne Burnett had hinted at a possible departure last week and it appears that Woodall doesn’t feature in his immediate plans, with the former Gresley man failing to feature in any of Burnett’s matchday squads.

“We have to be careful about how many strikers we have at the club,” he said.

“They all need games so there might be some manoeuvring around.”

Woodall can go straight into Stortford’s side tonight as they face a trip to Harrogate Town, which passed a 12 noon pitch inspection.

His loan spell lasts until April 7, which could see him participate in eight games for Rod Stringer’s side as they face a congested end to the season.
