West Ham legend Julian Dicks set to feature in Sunday’s clash at Dagenham & Redbridge

West Ham United’s first team may have an important game on Saturday, but at Dagenham’s Victoria Road ground on Sunday fans get the chance to see Hammers legends such as Julian Dicks and Neil ‘Razor’ Ruddock in action against their Tottenham counterparts.

The match, due to kick-off at 3pm, has been arranged by Daggers boss John Still for the MCA Trust, a charity close to his heart after close friend Michael Charles Adams died of a brain tumour.

But Daggers fans will also get the chance to see some of their former players in the shape of keeper Tony Roberts, former skipper Anwar Uddin and Darren Currie.

And Still is just glad he can help out for a worthwhile cause.

“We have labelled it a West Ham and Tottenham legends game but we have had a bit of help from Tony Roberts who is a Daggers legend who will be in goal for the West Ham side” said Still.

“There is also former West Ham United youth product and Daggers skipper Anwar Uddin in attendance plus Darren Currie so we have a good line-up with the normal legends as well like Julian Dicks and Razor Ruddock.

“Michael’s family decided to continue his good charity work after he passed away and I am just delighted to be able to help a very worthwhile cause.

“The initial response has been great and hopefully a big crowd can be in attendance to watch an entertaining match.”

Tickets for the event are on sale and vary depending on whether they are bought in advance or on the day, ranging from £10-15 for adults, £5-10 for concessions or £1-10 for children aged seven years and under.

They can be bought online at www.daggerstickets.co.uk , in person from the ticket office at the ground or via telephone on 0208 592 1549, extension number 21.
