Dagenham & Redbridge manager John Still happy with away point at Rochdale.

Daggers boss John Still feels it was more a point gained then two lost as they shared the spoils against the 10 men of Rochdale on Saturday.

When Kevin McIntyre was sent off for the hosts, the Victoria Road outfit enjoyed the majority of the possession and chances.

Michael Spillane and Sam Williams drew them level and there were further opportunities for them to take all three points through strikers Josh Scott and Dwight Gayle.

But Still was more than thankful to see his side produce a second-half fightback.

“Rochdale would have ended on a low being 2-0 up and letting it slip, whereas for us it feels like a win,” said the Daggers boss.

“Forget the sending off, I thought the second half was one-way traffic. We got on top and into the game, got the goal and Josh should have scored. How Dwight’s hasn’t gone in I don’t know.

“But that’s the way things are going at the moment. We can’t affect that, we can only affect how we play.

“At half time I said if we score first we will score again because the game is like that. Two-nil is a dangerous lead because one goal brings you right back into it. Away to Rochdale is a hard game and it is a good point gained.
