Luke Howell’s eighth of the season helped Daggers to a memorable win over Cheltenham Town as former striker Paul Benson’s first appearance back at Victoria Road went unrewarded.
There was little action in the opening stages of the game but as it edged towards the midway point the hosts gained the upperhand as both Matt Saunders and on home debut number two, Ben Strevens saw efforts deflected behind.
In defence Luke Wilkinson put in another good performance and got to former Dagger Paul Benson just in the nick of time as the 33-year-old prepared to unleash an effort on goal.
And it was Strevens who had the best chance of the match when a looping ball in from Howell found him at the back post but his header was well saved by Scott Brown in the Robins goal.
Further opportunities came from the Daggers who at times played some nice football with good work from both Saunders and Strevens which allowed Williams a first time chance which fizzed wide of the goal.
The second half had more about it then the first and Daggers took the lead with another well-worked move after 58 minutes.
Ogogo nicked the ball off of Cheltenham in their own half, ran down the left before finding Williams unmarked.
Williams should have taken a shot himself but laid it back to Howell who superbly curled it into the corner past Brown.
It could have been more when Saunders was brought down in the box by Steve Elliott and referee Darren Drysdale pointed to the spot.
But Williams’ penalty was well saved low down to his right by Brown and you thought that may ignite the visitors.
However, it has the opposite and Daggers enjoyed a lot of possession.
Man-of-the-match Ogogo broke once more and again found Williams running on to the ball but he was again thwarted by Brown, who did even better minutes later with a Medy Elito effort.
There was late drama as Brown came up for a corner in the last minute of stoppage time and although the danger was cleared, Michael Hector missed a great chance to give the Robins a point.
