Essex Senior Cup quarter-final draw revealed.
Dagenham & Redbridge have been drawn away to Essex Senior Cup holders AFC Hornchurch in the quarter-final draw, assuming they defeat East Thurrock United on Monday night at Victoria Road.
The tie was originally scheduled for last Monday, but due to the Rocks forcing an FA Trophy replay with Conference South side Dover Athletic, had to be cancelled.
But the two will do battle on Monday, looking to reach the last eight.
Hornchurch, winners of the Cup last season, were handed a trip to Victoria Road in the quarter-finals, where they won the competition in May after a seeing off then Ryman One North side Grays Athletic 2-1, courtesy of two goals from Lewis Smith.
Jimmy McFarlane’s side won through to the quarter-finals with a 2-1 victory at Ryman One North side Maldon & Tiptree, with the help of a George Purcell goal three minutes from time to seal the win.
Redbridge will face either Barking or Braintree Town in the last eight, if they beat Harlow Town.
The Barking and Braintree Town game was called off because of floodlight failure at Mayesbrook Park on Tuesday night, with the scores tied at two apiece. They will try again this Tuesday December 10.
The quarter-final ties are due to be played on or before January 11.
The full draw is as follows: Barking or Braintree Town vs Harlow Town or Redbridge; Colchester United vs Witham Town or Thurrock; Concord Rangers vs Canvey Island; AFC Hornchurch vs Dagenham & Redbridge or East Thurrock United.
