Daggers defender Scott Doe believes his side should have got something from yesterday’s 1-0 loss at home to Chesterfield.

Dagenham & Redbridge defender Scott Doe is frustrated by their poor home form of recent weeks.

For the second home game on the spin the Daggers were disappointing and fell to a 1-0 loss against Chesterfield yesterday.

But the 24-year-old centre half believed Wayne Burnett’s side were unfortunate not to pick up a point from the match.

“I thought we did enough to get something from the game today. Obviously it’s hard to take, especially after such a positive result at Bradford on Wednesday,” he said.

“It was a poor goal to concede but I thought we kept on plugging away but couldn’t break Chesterfield down.

“Your home games are what you usually build from and they are the most important and that is gutting as well. It’s always been by odd goals.”

And an area where Doe felt the Daggers were lacking on the day was the balls into the box.

“I thought today if we got one goal we would have gone on to win the game as well so it’s disappointing,” he added.

“I thought we lacked a bit of quality in crossing areas today and getting the ball in the box for Sam and Strevs but we have to go again.”
