Team news – Dagenham & Redbridge v Portsmouth

Dagenham & Redbridge boss Wayne Burnett has a choice to make as to who partners Brian Saah at centre back against Portsmouth today.

The Daggers will be without Scott Doe after his sending off against Wycombe Wanderers last weekend and Burnett must now choose between Ian Gayle, who came on for his Daggers and Football League debut at Adams Park, and Luke Wilkinson is over his illness which kept him out of the game.

“Both of them are in contention and Brian Saah’s been an ever present for the last dozen games or so, so we can pair any of them together,” said Burnett.

“It gives us a few options. Ian has put himself in contention for Saturday for sure, but we have to remember how good Wilko is as well, so we’ll see.”

Left back Femi Ilesanmi could return after recovering from an ankle injury and Ade Azeez saw his loan from Championship side Charlton Athletic extended until the end of the season,

Blair Turgott hasn’t recovered in time from his ankle injury, but Rhys Murphy (groin) and Zavon Hines (knee) are both ruled out for the remainder of the campaign.

Portsmouth have slight doubts over striker Patrick Agyemang, Daniel Alfei and Wes Fogden, who played a starring role in their 1-0 win over Hartlepool United last weekend.
