Dagenham & Redbridge have signed Charlton Athletic youngster Ade Azeez on a initial month’s youth loan.
The 20-year-old striker has had previous spells on loan from the Valley at Wycombe Wanderers, Leyton Orient and most recently Torquay United.
His spell with the Gulls was earlier in the season, and he scored two goals in 10 games, but his time at Plainmoor was cut short by injury.
Azeez has been on the radar of manager Wayne Burnett for some time, and the boss is glad to be adding the forward to his squad.
Burnett said: “I am absolutely delighted we’ve managed to obtain the services of Adebayo Azeez. He’s someone we’ve seen on a number of occasions and we think he will only enhance our squad.
“I’d like to thank Charlton Athletic for helping us, hopefully he can come here and be very successful.”
Azeez is available for today’s game against Hartlepool United and will wear the shirt number 27 in his time with the Daggers.
His initial spell is due to end on March 8, and that could see him feature in five games for the club, though the possibility of extending it is available to the Victoria Road side.
