Dagenham & Redbridge boss John Still is pleased impressive performances are now starting to be turned into points as Daggers picked up their second successive away point with a valuable 1-1 draw at Port Vale on Tuesday night.

The Daggers took the lead at Vale Park with 72 minutes on the clock when Luke Howell’s shot squirmed through the legs of home goalkeeper Chris Neal.

But it lasted just two minutes when Jennison Myrie-Williams was left unmarked and fired past Chris Lewington.

And though the Victoria Road chief was happy with the point, he felt his side shaded it against the second-placed hosts.

“I am absolutely delighted with the performance, and to get another point for our efforts,” said Still.

“But I thought we had done enough to win the game. The point at Rochdale a few weeks back has given us a lot more belief and now the points are finally coming.

“We were good value for the point there and then did OK, but not brilliant on Saturday against Wycombe. The performances have been there and now we are getting the reward.”
