Team news - Dagenham & Redbridge v Accrington Stanley
Daggers boss Wayne Burnett has not ruled out making changes for tonight’s League Two match against Accrington Stanley at Victoria Road.
His side drew 1-1 at Bury on Saturday, but it came on a very heavy Gigg Lane pitch and with a number of games already in the month of March, Burnett may opt to freshen his side up once again.
Zavon Hines is definitely out after undergoing surgery on an injured knee picked up in a development team game on March 4, after results of a scan revealed the injury was worse than first thought.
Rhys Murphy (groin) and Luke Wilkinson (ankle) will also both miss the match, but have stepped up their recovery, returning to training this week.
Wilkinson could be included in the squad for Saturday’s home game against Oxford, but it remains to be seen when Murphy will make a first team return.
“We are optimistic with Luke that he could be available again soon having had no problems since returning to training,” said Burnett.
“The Accrington game will be too soon, but he might be available for Saturday. With Rhys it will be a big couple of days for him in training so we will see how he reacts.
“He is champing at the bit to get back involved but we have to make sure he’s ready.”
He added: “We are trying to keep players on their toes and it was a tough pitch we played on at the weekend.
“Training on Monday was pretty much a recovery session from the weekend but it went well and now we have to prepare for Accrington.”
Luke Norris can be included once again after extending his loan from League One side Brentford until the end of the season, while Laurie Wilson (groin) is the only definite absentee for Stanley
