Dagenham & Redbridge will host recently relegated Coventry City in the first round of the Capital One Cup.

The draw for the newly-sponsored League Cup took place this morning which paired John Still’s side with the Sky Blues, who were relegated from the Championship at the end of last season.

The tie will kick off the Daggers season, with the tie being played the week commencing August 13, while their League Two campaign set to start the following weekend, August 18.

Last season the Victoria Road side lost 5-0 at the hands of Bournemouth and have never progressed beyond the first round of the competition.
