Darren Currie and Warren Hackett will be assisting new interim manager Wayne Burnett with first team matters.
Daggers interim manager Wayne Burnett has revealed his backroom staff as he sets about readying his side for the trip to Bradford City tomorrow.
Burnett was appointed as interim manager at Victoria Road this morning following John Still’s decision to join Luton Town and will take control of first team matters until the end of the season.
Still has taken assistant Terry Harris with him to Luton and Burnett has chosen to promote from within in the shape of Darren Currie and Warren Hackett to help him out with proceedings until the end of the season.
“I will be working with Darren Currie very closely and Warren Hackett, the academy coach, has come in for the time being as well,” said Burnett “As far as I am aware Terry Harris has gone with John.”
Burnett took his first training session with the Daggers this morning and was pleased with the response from the players.
“I am absolutely delighted to be named the interim boss. I am raring to go,” he added.
“I am sad to see John go as he was the man that brought me to the club but I have the opportunity and I am grateful for the club for giving me that.
“I spoke to the players this morning and I told them they are a great bunch. They are all fully behind me.”
