Transfer news: Frank De Boer is happy to let Gregory van der Wiel go if the price is right

Ajax manager Frank de Boer has hit back at Gregory van de Wiel after the full back blasted the Dutch giants.

The Dutchman is out of contract next year and feels that the Dutch club are trying to cash in on him with Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham believed to be interested.

“Pressuring him? We have a certain policy and we’ve told Gregory about that two months ago. This is something completely normal. He knows what he has to do,” De Boer said.

“We are happy to let go of him if the price is right. And there’s a good chance that he’ll get plenty of playing time if he stays. He might play every game, he might play just occasionally ...”
