Ilford Wanderers cruised to a comfortable 59-5 victory against May & Baker this weekend.

The Wanderers made the short journey to Dagenham for a game that followed the hard fought traditions between these two old rivals.

The visitors got off to a quick start and found themselves 0-14 up in early stages but Bakers had other ideas scoring a try of their own from a scrum.

Ilford kept pressing hard and found themselves with a 5-33 lead at half-time.

The second-half only got worse for the hosts as Ilford skipper Jason Taylor got an early try before Marson scored his second.

May & Baker kept trying to break Ilford’s defence down but even that led to an interception by Fly Half Alfie Waddens, taking Ilford over 50 points.

Ilford had the final word with young Lock Lee Martin sent in replacement Ryan Cord to round off a fine all round performance.
