Wanderers were without a game last weekend

Ilford Wanderers hope Saturday’s match at home to Barking in London Three Essex brings about a return to winning ways.

Wanderers were beaten on their last outing in the league, going down 13-5 on their trip to Campion.

Ilford had been due in action in the Essex Intermediate Cup first round last weekend, but conceded their tie at Canvey Island.

It means Wanderers will have had two weeks to full prepare for Saturday’s visit from Barking in the league.

It should be a great afternoon for Wanderers, with the Gale Street club have been in the third tier of English rugby as recently as the 2011-12 season.

Two divisions split the sides last campaign, but they meet as equals this weekend after Ilford won promotion from Essex Canterbury Jack One and Barking were relegated from London Two South East, and Wanderers will look to make full use of home advantage
