Three swimmers from the London Borough of Redbridge Swimming Club participated in this year’s English Schools’ Championships held in Liverpool’s 50m pool.

The swimmers represented the London Region and produced an excellent set of results.

Twelve-year-old Eloise Montanana, the youngest in the team, swam to a five-second personal best in the 100m backstroke in 73 seconds and was half-a-second outside of her best in the 400m freestyle final, coming home in seventh.

Frank McGuirk swam a one-second best time in the 200m backstroke finishing second and Charlie Dentith swam in the 200 and 400m Individual Medley and recorded two second places.

London Borough of Redbridge head coach Paul Robbins took charge of the London Schools team.
