Four judo rising stars won bronze medals at the Heart of England competition

Four Redbridge Judo Club players returned home from the Heart of England competition in Walsall last weekend with bronze medals.

Charlotte Newbold, fighting in the +70kilograms category and Lucy Day (-57kg) won bronze in the cadet competitions.

While Gemma Wright (-78kg) and Emma Reid (-70kg) won their medals in the senior section.

Ronnie Plumbe just missed out on a medal when he was fifth in the senior +100kg category.

A little closer to home, Zack Morris competed in the NHC junior open at High Wycombe where he won two of his three fights in the -27kg class to win bronze.
