The infamous 23-day slog will be passing through our borough in July 2014, although exact details of roads are yet to be released.

In a joint statement leader of the council Cllr Keith Prince and deputy leader Cllr Ian Bond said: “The Tour de France is an incredible test of skill, strength and endurance.”

The British section of the race is starting in Yorkshire with London being the last stage before cyclists head to France.
