Essex Open Netball Club’s under-12s rounded off their season in fine style at the CD Phoenix Netball tournament in Sussex.

The club, which trains and plays their matches at Caterham High School in Ilford, fielded two teams in the event and both went all the way to the final.

They won all the games in their groups to get through to the last four stage, where the A team met hosts CD Phoenix and the B team took on Crosskeys.

In both matches each side won by a 9-5 scoreline to set up an all Essex Open final and in a close encounter the A team managed to come out 8-6 victors.

But the success didn’t stop there as the under-13s also took part in a round robin event, which they came top of to complete the season in winning fashion.
