Thomas McCurtains enjoyed a weekend to remember, with both their hurling and women’s football teams collecting silverware.

In the AIB London Hurling League Division Two final, the Goodmayes club overcame St Anthony’s 2-17 to 1-13.

The women’s football team, meanwhile, won 11-17 to 0-4 against St Anthony’s in the final of the Tom O’Connor Cup.

It was certainly a great weekend for all involved with the club and one that is sure to live long in the memory.

There are no full-sized games for any adult McCurtains teams this weekend, though both the men’s and women’s football teams with have squads compete in a seven-a-side tournament in Greenford in aid of Siobhan McCann.

The club are always on the lookout for new players, with Gaelic football and hurling teams for both men and women from under-eights up to adults.

For more information, find the club on social media or email thomasmccurtains@hotmail.com.
