Sponsorship deal collapses for Barkingside driver

Racing driver Scott Malvern has revealed fears that he will miss out on the chance to compete in the FIA Formula Two Championship, after a sponsorship deal collapsed.

The Dunlop MSA Formula Ford champion from Barkingside, planned to make the step up to Formula Two this season and enjoyed an encouraging week of testing in Barcelona.

Since sealing the Formula Ford title Malvern has been working frantically to secure the sponsorship money required to progress his career.

But, speaking at the International Autosport Show in Birmingham, Malvern explained: “We had a very good offer to enter F2 this year and the deal should have been completed this week.

“Unfortunately due to circumstances entirely beyond our control the deal has collapsed and although we have worked very hard these past few days to try to rescue it we just haven’t been able to manage it.

“Things are so difficult at the moment with the economy the way it is and even though the Championship represents excellent value for money, in motor racing terms, with fantastic hospitality available at Europe’s top race circuits, it’s just so difficult to recruit investors and partners.

“It is incredibly frustrating after what I achieved last year to find myself in this position yet again.”

Having a brand new kitchen is something that lots of people want but can only dream of. Sadly keeping up to date and making our living spaces as nice as they can be is a costly and incredibly stressful business. Even a fresh coat of paint makes all the difference but isn’t easy or quick.

Who wouldn’t love the chance to go on a shopping spree. Imagine being able to walk into a shop and choose whatever your heart desires without having to worry about how much it costs.
