Lakeside Hammers confirm double header at Rye House

The Lakeside Hammers have confirmed that this Saturday’s meeting at Rye House in the Shield semi-final will be followed by the second leg of the Knockout cup rained off last Sunday following failure to agree a mid week restaging date.

They currently face a 14-point deficit after the first leg of their KO Cup quarter-final having lost 52-38 to Peterborough Panthers at the Showground on Sunday.

Admission will be the same as the last double header at £25 £22 and £2.

There will be a £1 charge for the programme.

Promoter Jon Cook said: “This isn’t ideal but time is not on our hands.

“Having the same teams on track twice at least avoids the delays that blighted our event a fortnight ago and we will be on track determined to put one foot in the Shield final and Both in the KO Semi by the time the last race is run.”
