Phillip Gee, managing director of courier firm APC Essex, in Forest Road, was asked to take the snorkel to Eddie’s private yacht last month.

The former F1 team owner had left it at home before travelling to Monaco and needed it for filming with the BBC.

Mr Gee said: “We got a call on Friday morning to say it needed delivering and I got on the lunchtime flight to Nice.

“I spent the afternoon and evening on Mr Jordan’s yacht, it was definitely one of the most exciting deliveries I’ve ever done.”

Mr Jordan is a former racing driver and the BBC’s main analyst for Formula 1 coverage.
