The latest news from the Thomas McCurtains GAA club

Thomas McCurtains are geared up for a busy Saturday, with their Goodmayes Hospital Sports Ground base hosting four matches.

McCurtains’ ground will see two women’s football matches played in the morning, including an opening game of the season for the Goodmayes club’s own women’s team.

In the afternoon, there will be two men’s football matches, including McCurtains’ London Intermediate Championship preliminary round tie against Eire Og at 2pm.

Both the men’s and women’s football teams will hope they can big up good wins on Saturday and begin their respective seasons in style.

Victories this weekend could also hand a confidence boost to the club’s other teams ahead of their respective county campaigns.

The club are always on the lookout for more players, with Gaelic football and hurling teams for both men and women from under-eights to adults.

For more information about joining the club, email thomasmccurtains@hotmail.com or find the club on Facebook and Twitter.
