Redbridge boss Dave Ross cut a frustrated figure once again as his side conceded late on in a 2-2 draw at Tilbury.

The Motormen were on course for three points after Brian Moses and Chinedu McKenzie put them in front after the Dockers had taken a first half lead through Emiel Aiken.

But Ross and joint manager Ricky Eaton’s side were undone late on as Sam West popped up to level for the hosts, and the former was frustrated after a dominant second half performance.

“The first half was one of our worst of the season,” said Ross. “But we responded after the break and the second half showing was a lot better.

“We deserved to be in front and it should have been three points, but it was another sloppy goal we’ve conceded.

“We need to have a little more about us when trying to close out games as it’s something we have done four or five times now this season.

McKenzie netted his first for Redbridge since joining from Harlow Town, and Ross feels he’ll make more of an impact as he gets settled in to the side.

“It’s only his second game and he needs a few more minutes under the belt but it was nice for him to get off the mark,” added Ross.

“He has played a lot of games so far this season but once he settles hopefully he can be a big boost for us. We wouldn’t have brought him in if we didn’t think he could make a difference. “
