Ross rings the changes and gets a reaction

Redbridge bounced back from Saturday’s disappointing defeat, a 4-0 reverse at Dereham Town, to get the better of a seven-goal thriller with Burnham Ramblers at Oakside last night (Tuesday).

“It was a really entertaining game for the fans,” said the delighted Motormen’s boss Dave Ross. “Both us managers enjoyed it too. I spoke to Bertie Brayley afterwards and though obviously disappointed, he agreed with me on that.

“They’re a decnt side, but I made a few changes and got a good response from the lads. It was good to see Danny (Charge) back and grabbing himself a goal.”

Ross also had his two wide men back, and AJ Adelekna got a special mention. “I got my two wide men back, which gave me more options and AJ at left back did well – and he’s only 18,” said the boss.

“The only down side on a great night was an injury to Aaron Scott, but it’s only an ankle and we don’t think it’s too bad. Hopefully he’ll be okay for Saturday.”
