FA Vase: Redbridge 1 Peterborough Northern Star 0

Redbridge progressed into the third round of the FA Vase as they sealed a 1-0 win against Peterborough Northern Star.

A 31st minute goal from Ashley Blackburn sealed the win for the Motormen in their second round clash with the United Counties League Premier Division side at the Oakside Stadium.

Ricky Eaton’s side will now be in the hat for the third round and be pleased to have bagged £900 in prize money after a strong first-half performance before weathering the storm in the second.

The third round matches will be played on the weekend of Saturday, December, 1.

The draw will take place tomorrow lunch time.

Redbridge will now face Saffron Walden Town in the Essex Senior Cup on Tuesday evening.

Redbridge: Greene, Miller, Carter, Burgess, Murphy, Kyungu, Smith, Asare, Stevenson, Phillips, Blackburn.

Subs: Turner, Gomez, Adelekan, Duggan, Scarlett.

Peterborough Northern Star: Shorunmu, Tauskas, Bloodworth, Fitzjohn, Rodden, Cox, Sansby, Wilson, Rosser, Le, Barber.
