Essex Senior League: Takeley 0 Redbridge 3

Redbridge bounced back from four consecutive defeats in all competitions to seal a 3-0 victory against one of the Essex Senior League’s title favourites Takeley.

A brace from Calvin Poku and another from Jack Stevenson sealed the three points for the Motormen at the FSI Stadium last night.

Both sides failed to find the net in the first-half and they went in at the break tied at 0-0.

Ricky Eaton’s side came out flying in the second-half with striker Poku finding the net twice in the space of five minutes with goals in the 48th and 52nd minute of the match.

Two minutes later Stevenson added a third to seal the comfortable victory for the Motormen.

Redbridge are now up to the 14th in the table after a mixed start to the campaign but will be keen to build on that win when they take on Southend Manor in the FA Vase this weekend.
