Leyton Orient goalkeeper Adam Legzdins was just happy to end his spell on the sidelines after returning to the O’s starting XI for last night’s 2-0 Johnstone’s Paint Trophy win over Northampton Town.

The 27-year-old has been out of action since the end of August after fracturing a finger in training.

And the former Derby keeper was pleased to be back involved, and keep a clean sheet as the O’s progressed into the area semi-finals of the competition.

“It’s been a frustrating seven weeks or so watching the disappointing results we have picked up, but it’s good to get back,” he said.

“Playing games is what it is all about and it was nice to come out with the clean sheet.”

Legzdins didn’t have too much to do against the Cobblers, but was mightily relieved Marvin Bartley killed the game off with a late second

“I thought the whole team played very well,” he added.

“We were really disciplined, had good shape and we did all the nitty gritty things, which I don’t think we had been doing particular well, and we know we have got the quality and ability up front.

“They took the goals fantastically and it was a relief to see the second one go in.”

Having a brand new kitchen is something that lots of people want but can only dream of. Sadly keeping up to date and making our living spaces as nice as they can be is a costly and incredibly stressful business. Even a fresh coat of paint makes all the difference but isn’t easy or quick.
