Leyton Orient go in search of their first home win of the season with the visit of in-form Preston North End tonight.

The O’s, now under the management of former sporting director Mauro Milanese, continue to be short on numbers, with skipper Nathan Clarke the latest to be added to the injury list after picking up concussion in a training session yesterday.

Striker Darius Henderson will also miss out after his sending off at Port Vale on Saturday, while Adam Legzdins (finger), Lloyd James (broken leg) and David Mooney (ankle) remain out.

Striker Kevin Lisbie has returned to training following his shoulder injury, but tonight’s match comes too soon, while Romain Vincelot underwent knee surgery yesterday.

Loanee Josh Wright can come straight into Milanese’s first matchday squad following his arrival from Championship side Millwall earlier today, while Dean Cox is also available after making a return from a knee injury in the loss at Port Vale on Saturday.

There could also be a place in the squad for new Italian striker Gianvito Plasmati, after the 31-year-old received international clearance.

Preston, fresh from the 3-2 come-from-behind win against Fleetwood Town at the weekend, could include veteran striker Kevin Davies from the off after his substitute appearance against the Cod Army.

North End captain Tom Clarke, brother of Orient skipper Nathan, missed Saturday’s game through illness, but could feature as may Scott Wiseman after his recovery from a knee injury.

The match is also likely to see goalkeeper Jamie Jones line up against his former employees, having signed a two-year deal at Deepdale in the summer.
