Leyton Orient will travel up north to face National League strugglers Solihull Moors as they look to end their 14 game winless run this weekend.

Assistant head coach Ross Embleton wants everyone to start looking at themselves and taking some responsibility for the club’s recent form after slipping to a 3-0 defeat against Torquay last weekend ahead of the trip to Damson Park on Saturday (3pm).

He said: “We need to take a long, hard look at ourselves and I said to them at the end, we can sit and have a conversation about what is right, what is wrong and who didn’t do their jobs at Torquay and who did and why we’ve never followed what we’ve spoken about in the week in terms of trying to approach the game in a certain manner, but we’ll be here until Wednesday if we do that.

“There will be a lot of analysis from myself because I felt, on occasions, I was seeing things from a team which I never thought I’d see from a team I’m involved with or responsible for, so that’s hard to take.”

The coach also takes full responsibility for trying to change the O’s fortunes as he bid to end their winless run which goes back to their 4-1 victory against Guiseley on September 2.

“I take full responsibility in trying to change the direction of the performances we’ve been seeing too often already this season,” added Embleton.

“It’s going to take a big shift now and I said to the boys at the moment we keep talking about getting up the league and progressing and getting further away and winning games, but we need to win one first before we start putting a run together.

“That’s the big thing we need to try and find a cure for.”

The former Swindon Town first-team coach will most likely have to make a few changes to his line-up for the clash as they will be without right-back Jake Caprice, who was sent off in the 86th minute for a reckless tackle on Damon Lathrope, while goalkeeper Charlie Grainger was taken off a half-time due to a shoulder injury.

Youngsters Myles Judd and Sam Sargeant could be set to return to the O’s starting eleven for the clash with the basement boys.
