Beautyman links up with Posh, and could face the O’s in a matter of weeks.
Former Leyton Orient midfielder Harry Beautyman has earned a move back into the Football League after joining the O’s League One rivals Peterborough United for an undisclosed fee.
The 22-year-old scored 11 goals in 21 appearances for Conference Premier side Welling United, having made the summer move to the Kent side from Conference South outfit Sutton United – the club he joined after being released by the O’s in 2011.
His early season form also saw him called into the England C side, but has now linked up with the Posh, initially on loan, before the deal becomes permanent in January.
Beautyman was congratulated on the move by current O’s midfielder Dean Cox on Twitter, who believed he should never have been released by the Brisbane Road club.
Cox said: “@DMAC102 great signing orient should never of let him go good luck @HBeautz22.”
If selected, the midfielder could come up against his former employers in a couple of weeks time when they host Peterborough United at Brisbane Road on December 13.
