It may still be early days under manager Mauro Milanese at Leyton Orient, but defender Elliot Omozusi is already learning more than most from the Italian.

Milanese took over the helm at Brisbane Road on October 26 after club owner Francesco Becchetti decided to cut short Kevin Nugent’s interim manager spell.

And while the O’s had little time for training last week such was their schedule, Omozusi is already picking up plenty of tips from the two-capped Italy international, who spent much of his career playing at left back.

“It’s been a very good week with the manager,” said Omozusi.

“He’s the kind of man who knows what he wants. He is out on the training pitch everyday implementing his ideas.

“As a defender he has played at the top level in Italy and for his country so he has great experience and it is nice to be working with him.”

The O’s now have a whole week on the training ground to prepare for their FA Cup trip to fellow League One side Oldham Athletic on Saturday, and for the former Fulham defender, that can only be a positive as they settle down to life under Milanese.

“The games have come thick and fast so we couldn’t do too much on the training ground,” he added.

“This week gives us that chance to take our foot off the pedal and look at where we are going wrong and get more done on the training pitch.

“I’d prefer to get back into the league, but that’s how it goes.

“We’ll take every game as it comes and we have got no midweek game so we have got time to recharge our batteries and go again on Saturday.”

Having a brand new kitchen is something that lots of people want but can only dream of. Sadly keeping up to date and making our living spaces as nice as they can be is a costly and incredibly stressful business. Even a fresh coat of paint makes all the difference but isn’t easy or quick.
