Goalkeeping coach and chief scout ends seven-year spell with the O’s.

Kevin Dearden has resigned from his post as chief scout and goalkeeping coach at Leyton Orient.

Dearden joined the club on a part-time basis in 2007 during Martin Ling’s time in charge at Brisbane Road, before becoming a permanent member of staff the following year.

It is understood the 44-year-old handed in his resignation at Brisbane Road last week, ending his seven-year affiliation with the club.

His final game with the O’s was Saturday’s 1-0 Johnstone’s Paint Trophy area semi-final at Gillingham.

A club statement read: “Leyton Orient have reluctantly accepted the resignation of goalkeeper coach and chief scout Kevin Dearden.

“Dearden first joined the club in 2007 on a part-time basis and made the move to a full-time role at the O’s in the summer of 2008.

“He has now stepped down from his role due to personal reasons and the club would like to thank him for all his work and wish him the best for the future.”
