Leyton Orient have suffered another blow after midfielder Jack Price has been forced to cut short his loan with the O’s following an injury picked up in the 2-0 win over Doncaster Rovers on Tuesday night.

The 21-year-old had joined on a 93-day deal from the Championship outfit and had featured for Orient on three occasions.

But the midfielder was forced to hobble off with an ankle injury in midweek, and after an initial diagnosis, has gone back to the West Midlands side to receive treatment.

“Losing Jack is a big blow and the injuries certainly aren’t going for us at the moment,” said Nugent.

“The boys are managing to pull together and the result on Tuesday showed what tremendous spirit we have. Jack’s been a great addition.

“He was having a really good game as well at Doncaster. When he came in I knew what he was capable of in terms of keeping the game ticking over and he has good defensive instincts as well so it’s disappointing.”

Whether the Os head back into the loan market before Saturday’s trip to Port Vale remains to be seen.
