Ilford boss Fenn to ring the changes for Hullbridge cup tie

Players come in and there’s a new system
Ilford manager Alann Fenn takes his side into Essex Senior Cup action against Hullbridge Sports at Cricklefield tonight (Wednesday), a week after a 2-0 league defeat by the same side.
“I missed last week’s match as I was on holiday in Spain, but by all accounts we were second-best all over the park and deserved to lose,” he said.
“But, I’ll be making a few changes for the cup game, bringing in new players and employing a new system. We need a new attitude.”
A big plus for the manager is that last season’s top scorer Eden Nelson is back in contention.
“I’ve got a couple of players back from injury. Eden Nelson will come back in and I’ll be giving defender Kendall Allan a run out as well.”
But Fenn knows where his main problems lie on the pitch. “We’ve been conceding too many goals, about two a game on average. We must sort that out.
“We need some solidarity, and it’s up to every player to help stop the goals going in, not just the defenders.
“We trained last night (Tuesday) and worked a few things out on the training pitch so that we’ll be ready come the kick-off today.”
The foxes are without a game on Saturday and boss Fenn is keen to get his boys in action to keep up their match fitness.
“If anybody out there would like to give us a game on Saturday, please call me on 07599 781196 and let me know,” ha added.
