Ilford’s seven game unbeaten run came to an end as they suffered a 2-1 defeat to Southend Manor in the dying stages of the match last night.

Lee Delf and Aaron Baldwin both netted to seal the three points for Manor despite a consolation from Ellis Lentell at Cricklefield Stadium.

Delf put the visitors ahead in the 19th minute but The Foxes found a leveller with twenty minutes remaining after Ellis Lentell converted a rebound from close range.

The hosts however then saw Mabassa sent off before Aaron Baldwin netted seven minutes from time to give Manor their second win at Cricklefield this season.

Manor have now moved up to 13th place in the Essex Senior League whilst Martin Haywood’s side drop down to fourth place.

Ilford will now host Hoddesdown Town on Saturday as they look to get back to winning ways and climb back up the league table.
