Ilford cruised to a comfortable 4-1 victory against local rivals Redbridge to bring an end to their unbeaten start to the Essex Senior League campaign.

A brace from Yemi Adelani and solo efforts from Jamal Dzotsi and Yasseir Nazor sealed the three points for the Foxes and helped them continue their impressive start to the season at the Oakside Stadium.

That victory moves Martin Haywood’s new-look side up to third in the league table after sealing three wins, one draw, and one loss so far this term.

Elsewhere, Tower Hamlets fell to yet another defeat as they lost 2-1 to Stansted after going down to 10-men at the Mile End Stadium.

AJ Ashanike’s side are still searching for their first victory of the season after drawing once and falling to three defeats.

Tower Hamlets manager AJ Ashanike tweeted after the match: “Not getting that luck. Referee and linesman man killed us yesterday but got be proud of my boys after that second half with 10 men but @FCStansted played well first half.

“Strong and experienced side they have this season.”
