Pre-season friendly: UD Horadada 3 Dagenham & Redbridge 2

Daggers were edged out by the odd goal in five against UD Horadada.

They got off to the perfect start when new signing Joss Labadie put them ahead with just two minutes on the clock, but the Spanish side scored twice in the space of three minutes to move in front.

They did level four minutes before the break when Frankie Raymond, an early replacement for Labadie, slotted home following a ball in from Jack Connors.

Trialist Alan Connell was denied on the stroke of half time, while Ashley Chambers had penalty appeals waved away.

Boss Wayne Burnett shuffled the back in the second period, but Connell again went close when he forced a good save from the Horadada goalkeeper.

However the Daggers lost out in the end though when Mark Cousins could only parry an initial shot and the hosts striker walked in the loose ball.

Burnett’s side will now return to the UK ahead of Tuesday night’s friendly at Conference South newcomers Wealdstone.

Daggers: O’Brien (Cousins 46), Batt, Connors (Green 46), Doe (Gayle 55), Saah, Chambers (Obafemi 55), Bingham, Ogogo, Labadie (Raymond 38), Connell (Goldberg 55), Pittman (Nouble 55).
