Foxes understood to be appealing decision

Ilford may not be allowed to ncompete in the Essex Senior League next season after being voted out of the division at the competition’s Annual General Meeting on Wednesday night.

The Foxes were due to be among the many teams due to line up in the league next season, but as things stand, that no longer looks the case.

It is understood the Cricklefield Stadium club owed the league money relating to fines, which is why they are believed to have been voted out of the competition.

However, it is understood that Ilford have argued that those fines were paid on time and as such are appealing the decision to vote them out of the league.

Last season, Ilford, managed by Allan Fenn, finished sixth in the league with 75 points, 25 behind champions Barking.

Under new proposals, as many as two teams could be promoted from the Essex Senior League, which Ilford hope they can still be a part of.
