Dagenham & Redbridge have reportedly agreed a deal to sign Eastbourne Borough midfielder Frankie Raymond for an undisclosed fee, according to the Conference South club.

The 21-year-old started his career with Championship side Reading, though never made a first team appearance for the Royals.

Raymond then had a spell in the development team at League One outfit Gillingham before joining the Priory Lane side in September 2012, but now looks set to get his chance back in the Football League with the Daggers.

He would be the second non-league player to join the club this summer, following hot on the heels of Nathan Green’s move from Tonbridge Angels.

Boss Wayne Burnett has also added goalkeepers Liam O’Brien and Mark Cousins, as well as defender Damian Batt to his squad over the last few weeks as he prepares his squad for the new League Two campaign.
