Pre-season has only just begun but Daggers are already without Medy Elito after the winger picked up a groin injury in training.

Boss Wayne Burnett has been happy with the squad on their return, but hard ground at their May & Baker training base has cause a few problems in the opening stages of pre-season.

“Medy’s been struggling with his groins,” said Burnett. “The pitches have been so hard but he’s going to have an injection on Tuesday and hopefully by the end of next week he’ll be available.

“Training has gone okay on the whole, we’ve had a little trouble because the ground has been hard but the weather has been incredibly hot, but hopefully there is some rain so it gets a little softer.”

Meanwhile, new addition Ashley Chambers was missing at Bromley due to the birth of his baby.

“Chambo would have featured today but his wife’s waters have broken so he’s due a baby very soon and hopefully she’s had it and everyone is well,” added Burnett.
