First round draw details for the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy has been revealed.

Dagenham & Redbridge have been handed a bye for the first round of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.

The Daggers reached the southern area quarter-final stage last season, defeating local rivals Colchester United and Southend United, before losing to eventual winners Peterborough United 1-0, with a goal from Britt Assombalonga the difference between the two sides

There will also be a first this season with the competition trialling the use of the vanishing spray which was used at the World Cup in Brazil.

The full list of byes and sections are as follows:

Northern Section West: Accrington Stanley, Carlisle United, Crewe Alexandra, Fleetwood Town, Morecambe, Preston North End, Rochdale, Shrewsbury Town

Northern Section East : Barnsley, Bradford City, Chesterfield, Mansfield Town, Notts County, Oldham Athletic, Scunthorpe United, York City

Southern Section West : Cheltenham Town, Coventry City, Newport County, Oxford United, Portsmouth, Swindon Town, Wycombe Wanderers, Yeovil Town

Southern Section East : AFC Wimbledon, Cambridge United, Crawley Town, Gillingham, Leyton Orient, Peterborough United, Southend United, Stevenage

Northern Section byes : Bury, Port Vale, Tranmere Rovers, Walsall, Burton Albion, Doncaster Rovers, Hartlepool United, Sheffield United

Southern Section byes : Bristol City, Exeter City, Northampton Town, Plymouth Argyle, Colchester United, Dagenham & Redbridge, Luton Town, Milton Keynes Dons
