Dagenham & Redbridge have completed the signing of the versatile left-sided player Nathan Green on a one-year deal.

The 23-year-old signs for the club having spent the last season and a half at Conference South side Tonbridge Angels, but couldn’t stop them from relegation last season.

Before joining the Kent side Green spent time at Ryman Premier Division outfit Billericay Town.

Green’s signing is the second new addition of the day to manager Wayne Burnett’s squad and the third of the summer, following hot on the heels of former Colchester United goalkeeper Mark Cousins signing a two-year deal at Victoria Road. Another goalkeeper Liam O’Brien signed from Brentford earlier in the summer.

Under John Still the club continuosuly looked into non-league to sign players, the last being Sean Shields from St Albans City and Green’s arrival is the first non-league player to join since Burnett took the Daggers job in February 2013.
