Daggers boss Wayne Burnett has been happier with his side’s last two showings against fellow Football League sides.
They lost out 1-0 to MK Dons last Tuesday, before going down 4-3 on Saturday to Colchester United.
The Daggers were much better at the weekend, and though there was still a few things Burnett wasn’t completely satisfied with, he believes things are turning the corner at just the right time.
“Saturday was a lot better,” said Burnett. “We moved the ball around well and threatened their goal quite a few times which is pleasing. I wasn’t too pleased though with some of our defending and we’ll work on that, while we also got off to a slow start.
“We have talked to the players about that and the need to be better defensively, so hopefully we get the desired response.”
Burnett takes his side to Conference South side Concord Rangers tonight with trialists George Porter and Andre Boucaud, before a Daggers XI head to Billericay on Wednesday.
And Burnett will use the games to look at Carmarthen Town striker Christian Doidge, who netted 19 goals in the Welsh Premier League last season.
Other than that it will be a similar side to those that have featured in the previous two friendlies, with Ashley Hemmings playing his first game as a fully fledged Dagger, having signed a one-year deal with the club yesterday.
