Dagenham & Redbridge forward Jon Nouble has made a one-month loan move to Conference Premier club Welling United, according to the website of the Kent side.
The 18-year-old signed his first professional deal with the Daggers at the end of last season, and featured in the final day 3-2 win over Cheltenham Town, which assured Wayne Burnett’s side of a ninth-place finish.
But the striker, who was on loan last season for Grays Athletic and Thurrock, has featured mainly in Daggers XI friendlies so far this term and has not featured so far in Burnett’s first-team plans.
And in order to get match fitness and game time, Nouble has joined the Park View Road side initially on a one-month youth loan, which can be extended.
The striker can go straight into the Wings side this weekend’s home game against Woking, who are managed by former Daggers boss Garry Hill.
Nouble will have a familiar face at the Kent outfit with ex-Daggers striker Afolabi Obafemi at Jamie Day’s side, who currently sit in 23rd place in the table after three games, having scored just one and conceded seven.
