Dagenham & Redbridge have confirmed their rearranged National League game at home to Boreham Wood will now take place on January 9 at 7.45pm.

The sides had been due to meet in the league on December 2, but that game was postponed owing to Wood’s participation in the FA Cup second round that weekend.

The match at Victoria Road will now take place over a month later, sandwiched a home match for Daggers against Hartlepool United on January 6 and a possible FA Trophy second round tie the following weekend.

When the Essex club do host their Hertfordshire rivals, they will hope to complete a league double, having beaten Luke Garrard’s side 2-1 at Meadow Park in August. January’s match could also see a return to Victoria Road for striker Paul Benson, who left Daggers in the summer.

In two spells with the Essex club, Benson netted 92 goals in 235 appearances.
