Dagenham & Redbridge were fortunate to beat Wrexham in the National League, according to Robins boss Andy Davies.

The Essex club came from behind to claim all three points in Wales, with Fejiri Okenabirhie and a David Raven own goal key for Daggers after the hosts led through Paul Rutherford.

However, John Still’s men were indebted a fine display in goal from Mark Cousins, who made some top saves, including clawing one back off the line to keep out a Scott Quigley header.

Daggers also had the woodwork to thank for keeping them in the game on a couple of occasions, leading Davies to feel his team should have been the victors.

“Anyone who came to see that game will not understand how we haven’t won it,” he told the Wrexham website.

“In terms of opportunities and chances, and putting pressure on them, it’s a wonder how we haven’t come away with a win.”
