England Under-19 star drops in
Former Redbridge London Youth Games cricketer and England under-19 player Kishen Velani recently dropped in to put the current squad through their paces.
Velani, who plays his club cricket for Wanstead and is also on the books of Essex, dropped by for Redbridge’s indoor cricket training, before heading off to South Africa for a four-week tour whbich will encompass two tests and five one-day internationals.
The 18-year-old competed for Redbridge in the London Youth Games (LYG) indoor cricket in 2007 and 2008, helping Redbridge to fifth and a 10th respectively.
As well as training with Velani, the current Redbridge squad also got the chance to ask him about his experiences in the LYG, at Essex and playing for his country.
If you are aged between seven and 18, live or go to school in Redbridge and want to be involved in the 2013 Balfour Beatty London Youth Games, why not give a sport a go?
