Essex have announced that Ravi Bopara has signed a new two-year deal at the County Ground which will keep him at the club until at least the end of the 2017 campaign.

The 30-year-old, who has enjoyed a benefit year this season, has spent his entire professional career with the Eagles after making his first team debut in 2002.

He scored his maiden County Championship century in 2005 and has been a key figure in the Essex side in all three formats ever since.

The Hainault & Clayhall cricketer averages well over 40 in both first-class and list a cricket for the county and shone with the ball this year taking 50 wickets in all competitions.

Bopara has played 120 One Day Internationals for England and represented his country in 13 Tests and 38 T20 Internationals.

On signing his extension with the Eagles, he said: “I am happy to have signed a new contract. The club is making some changes with Ronnie Irani on board.

“I’ve played a lot under Robbie, I know him very well and I’m trusting him to get things the way we all want here at Essex.

“We’re a team that should be competing and performing at a higher level than we are. I think we can achieve that with a couple of new signings and I’m confidence that the club will get that right.”

Having a brand new kitchen is something that lots of people want but can only dream of. Sadly keeping up to date and making our living spaces as nice as they can be is a costly and incredibly stressful business. Even a fresh coat of paint makes all the difference but isn’t easy or quick.

Who wouldn’t love the chance to go on a shopping spree. Imagine being able to walk into a shop and choose whatever your heart desires without having to worry about how much it costs.
